Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Excellent food. Excellent service. Yummy Margaritas. Very clean. Nice atmosphere. A little on the pricey side, but well worth it.

My family and I decided to eat here for dinner because it had 4 stars. The place itself is a nice restaurant, however when it came to the food it was very bland and none of our meats had flavor. My husband ordered chicken enchiladas and it had more onions than chicken, my tacos tasted like nothing other than the onions it was covered in. The rice was cold, no flavor what so ever along with the rest of our meal. This is not authentic Mexican food. I suggest eating at another location.

Nice environment, beer and good food. Shrimp fajitas are good and the enchiladas supreme. If you get the enchiladas be sure to ask to hold the lettuce on the side - they load it.

Nice atmosphere with outdoor seating option, great drinks from full bar, and good food. Authentic and expansive menu . I had vegetarian nachos , vegan-ized by asking for no cheese on beans or sour cream. Other vegan options available. My dining mates , non- vegan all enjoyed their meals. Great service.

We went to this restaurant two years ago and were very disappointed. We finally decided to give it another try. Actually, we were going to McAllister's next door but the line was too long. The experience this time was not much better. The lunch Chicken Fajitas were rather bland and the chicken was sparse. My wife had the Speedy Gonzales combo. Once again, not really good or bad. The salsa was good but the chips were greasy. Also, a Coke costs $2.75. Too high. Overall there is nothing wrong with Fiesta Americana. There is just nothing really good about it.

I really wanted this place to make it because we don't have good Mexican food in this area. I have eaten there at least five times, each time hoping. I first tried their food when they catered a museum event. The food was good, great tamales. Time before last I went there and ordered a taco lunch (pretty simple). Two taco's arrived with no sides, but they were good, so I overlooked it. A few days ago I went to get a take out of soft tacos, I asked for 1 beef, two chicken and they reversed it. They were in flour, not traditional corn tortillas. They were all packed in foil, so the damp tortillas were glued together so I couldn't get them apart. I ordered an horchata (rice drink) - and the bill for three mushy tacos and the drink was $10.50. I could have gone to The Outback. I tried calling the manager to complain and left a message but she never called back. Clearly, they don't care.

It was okay. Not really worth the prices. The mixed chicken and steak fajitas were over cooked. The chimichangas were covered in tomato sauce and not crispy. We had to get our own silverware. They asked if everything was okay when I was almost done with my food.
